The staff is excellent and very attentive during our stay.

Unfortunately, the hotel was quite dated and had a musty smell that detracted from the experience. I also noticed some cleanliness issues in the room, which made it feel uncomfortable. The onsen facilities were dark and could use more light to enhance relaxation.

The spacious Japanese-Style Room provided a perfect retreat. I loved the option to sleep on tatami or a bed. The half-board meals, including a delicious 20-course dinner, left me feeling spoiled. Service stood out. staff was attentive and took care of details like cleaning snow off my luggage. The onsen was soothing and a highlight of my stay. However, the property showed its age. Some parts felt a bit musty, and I noticed some maintenance issues needing attention. Despite these, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I felt genuinely welcomed throughout my time here.

the outdated decor was a real letdown, especially considering the prices here. also, i found some mold in the bathroom, which totally ruined the supposed ambiance. i mean, i woudl ve expected at least a complimentary drink for all this inconvenience, but obviously, i was mistaken. sadly, i just couldn’t recommend this place after all.

The onsen was fantastic, perfect for unwinding after exploring nearby Hell Valley and taking walks around beautiful nature. The food was a highlight, with plenty of delicious options. Make sure to book your meals ahead, as they fill up quickly. Great base for exploring with older kids.
